Dear my honorable guests,
Dear the communication and news agencies,
Ladies and gentlemen:
I am Hoang Hoa, I would like to extend my respectful
greetings to all of you.
It is a great honor for me to have been invited by
the Organizing Committee to kick-off the fundraiser for the re-election
campaign of Ms. Mary Hien Pollett for her second term (2026–2030) on the
Evergreen School District Board of Trustees.
In 1993, a young Vietnamese lady arrived in the
United States with her father—a former officer in the Republic of Vietnam Armed
Forces and a former political prisoner who had endured nearly seven years of
imprisonment in re-education camps following the Fall of Saigon in 1975. They came
as political refugees under the HO-17 program.
In the United States, a land where great dreams
become reality and opportunities belong to the strong will, she focused on
studying English and Mathematics to improve her knowledge. She earned a
Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from UCLA, followed two years later
by a Master’s degree in Education from SJSU. Over the next twenty-five years,
she served as a mathematics teacher and eventually as the Principal of Yerba
Buena High School, a renowned high school in San Jose. She brought great
distinction to the school with numerous awards, commendations, certificates,
and letters of appreciation.
In 2022, she was elected as a Board of Trustees Member
for the Evergreen School District. During this term, she achieved two major
milestones for both the Vietnamese community and the friends’ community.
Working alongside the Board of Trustees, she saved O.B. Whaley Elementary
School from closure by successfully re-purposing its educational goals. She also spearheaded the Resolution
Commemorating the Black April tragedy, which was unanimously approved by the
Evergreen School District Board of Trustees.
In early 2025, she assumed the role of Chief
Business Official for the Millbrae School District (south of San Francisco,) a
position she continues to hold.
Given her academic background, outstanding
achievements, and extensive experience in managing educational and financial
operations across school districts—as well as the tangible benefits she has
delivered to the Vietnamese and wider communities, Ms. Mary Hiền Pollett is
highly deserving of support. She merits the votes of the Vietnamese and other
communities on Tuesday November 3rd, 2026 to serve the second term on
the Evergreen School District Board of Trustees.
Please vote for Mary Hiền Pollett for the Board of
Trustees Member of Evergreen School District on November 3rd, 2026.
Thank you,

Estimados invitados,
Estimados medios de comunicación y agencias de noticias,
Damas y caballeros:
Gracias.
